Graveside services for Stanley Edward Ashley will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014, at Whispering Pines Cemetery in Minden, under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with the Rev. Mike Wilkes officiating. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. Saturday at Whispering Pines Missionary Baptist Church.
Stanley was born Nov. 18, 1941, in Shreveport, and entered into rest Nov. 4, 2014, in Shreveport.
His parents, S.V. and Emma Ashley and brother, Leon Ashley preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Tommie Faye Ashley of Elm Grove; daughters, Charla Goe and husband, Jeff of Jackson, Wy., Christine Ward and husband, Robert of E. Prairie, Mo., and Carrie Bosch and husband, Matt of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sisters, Jo Gills of Bossier City and Anita Shows of Elm Grove; brother, Mike Ashley of Minden; grandchildren, Jennifer Goe, Daniel Goe, Marisa Riggins, Jeremy Scott, Justin Scott, Emily Weaver, Elaine Arneson, Tyler Bosch, Trenton Bosch and Trinity Bosch; five great-grandchildren; stepsons, Jeff Alderman and wife, Lisa of Sheridan, Ark. and James Alderman and wife, Christi of Marshall, Texas; stepdaughter, Carol Alderman of Lancaster, Ky.; nine step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
