Funeral services for Sybil Bridges Bell will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden with the Rev. Bill Crider officiating. Interment will follow at Minden Cemetery in Minden. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home.
Sybil was born July 29, 1918, in Arcadia and entered into rest Jan. 7, 2015, in Minden. She was co-owner of Bridges Clothing Store, a member of Junior Service League and made Barbie doll dresses for family, friends and patients and sent them to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack C. Bridges Sr. and H.S. Bell; son, Thomas H. Bridges; and 11 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her son, Jack C. Bridges Jr. and wife, Mary Anne of Orlando, Florida; sister, Peg McKenzie of Minden; daughter-in-law, Jean Allison and husband, Johnny of Minden; granddaughter, Terri Bridges Farriel and husband, Kenneth of Baton Rouge; grandson, Clifford Lee Bridges and wife, Adilia of Fullerton, California; granddaughter, Jennifer Bridges McGregor of Garland, Texas; granddaughter, Jaclyn Bridges Bacon and husband, Kirk of Lafayette; great-grandchildren; and multiple nieces and nephews.
Donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The family expresses special thanks to Lena Young for her love and care during Mrs. Bell’s final year.
