Two women were arrested on drug charges after police searched a Minden residence as part of a theft investigation.
Krystal Herring, 31, of the 6200 block of Williams Road was charged with possession of Schedule I CDS (natural marijuana), possession of a Schedule IV CDS and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Lacy Paul, 25, of the 1400 block of Lewisville Road was charged with possession of Schedule I CDS, possession of a legend drug and prohibited acts.
Police searched an apartment in the 1400 block of Lewisville Road after receiving a tip that the women were in possession of stolen items.
Inside, police found Klonipin pills hidden inside a dish towel and Lexapro pills not prescribed to the residents of the apartment, according to reports.
During a search of the vehicle, officers found 12 grams of suspected marijuana in a bag along marijuana in a tin can and burnt cigar wrappers containing suspected marijuana, the reports said. Paul reportedly told police she was aware of the drugs in the car and was the last person to drive the car.
Herring and Paul were arrested and taken to police headquarters; they were later transferred to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center. A probation and parole hold was placed on Herring.
Police say the investigation into the reported stolen items continues and additional charges are pending.

Woo hoo! Another less than half an ounce of flower buds off the street. Let’s all go foam to the store and drink a quart of vodka to celebrate.
That is a boy.
