Funeral services celebrating the life of Thomas H. Grady will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Ray Hearron officiating. Interment will follow at Doyline Cemetery in Doyline, Louisiana with military honors. The family will receive friends Friday, February 18, 2022, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. 

Thomas was born November 23, 1951, in North Carolina and entered into rest February 15, 2022, in Minden, Louisiana. Thomas served in the United States Air Force for 33 ½ years retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant and was a night supervisor with 917th A-10’s with his call name of “Night Hawk”. He was a faithful member of Doyline Baptist Church serving as Chairman of the Deacons, treasurer, and children’s Sunday school teacher. Thomas was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to all who knew him. 

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carmen Nicole Grady; mother, Nannie Grady; father, James Earnest Grady; brother, David Grady; father-in-law Perry G. Herren and mother-in-law, Hazel H. Herren. 

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Judy Herren Grady of Doyline; daughter, Lynn Grady Lee and husband John; sisters Barbara Alphin, Brenda Alphin and brother, James Ray Grady; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lynn and Jody Herren; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Wanda and Ted Carnahan; beloved nephews, Brian Herren and wife Erica who was precious to Tommy and Trae Herren and family. Granddaughters, Miranda Helmick and Ada Burroughs; great-grandchildren, Jaydon, Maddie, Kelsey, and Jaxon; nieces, Missy Carnahan, Judy Herren Mitchell, Jennifer Herren Igo; nephew, Richard Herren, great niece and nephew Katie and Brent Herren, who was Uncle Tommy’s heart, numerous other nieces and nephews, and his little buddy, Beamer. 

The family extends special thanks to Minden Medical Center staff and his special caregivers, Tamesha, Christian, and Dr. Thomas for their compassionate care given to our loved one.
