Mansfield man cuts 60 acres of timber without paying in Doyline
Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry (LDAF) investigators arrested a Mansfield man in connection with a suspected timber theft in Webster Parish.
In September 2017, LDAF enforcement agents received a complaint of timber theft in the village of Doyline in Webster Parish.
LDAF Commissioner Mike Strain, D.V.M., said, “Following a six month investigation, 50-year-old Andre J. Woodley admitted to cutting 60 acres of timber and not paying the owner for the timber. Our enforcement agents subsequently obtained a warrant for Woodley’s arrest.”
The value of the harvested timber is estimated at approximately $23,000.
Woodley was arrested and booked into Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center on March 5, 2018 for one count of theft. Bond was set at $100,000.
