Tony Ray Taylor, 49, of Sarepta, passed away on June 19, 2015. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Cotton Valley; burial will follow the funeral at Cotton Valley Cemetery in Cotton Valley. Pastor Andrew Maddox of Living Word Minden will be officiating. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Cotton Valley.
Tony was born in Shreveport on June 20, 1965. He graduated from Cotton Valley High School.
Tony was married to Margie Chance Taylor on June 5, 1995; they were married 20 years.
Tony worked for the Webster Parish Sherriff’s Office for 12 years. He enjoyed his work and loved everyone there and was loved by all. He enjoyed fishing with his wife, nephew’s family, children, grandchild and great nieces. He loved spending time with family and friends.
Tony is survived by his wife, Margie Chance Taylor; six children, Melissa and Tony Glass, Melanie and Ronnie Barnett, Melinda and Duane Lee, Melody and Brian Shelley, Meleighah and Paul Sweet, Melaine and Bobby Vidrine; sister, Katherine and Thomas Broadhead; nephew, Timmy and Samantha Billups, Jason Oller; niece, Kimberly Oller; and great-nieces, Lydia and Lyndsey Billups; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Taylor and Linda Taylor, his sister, Tammy Holder and his brother, David Taylor.
Pallbearers will be from the Webster Parish Sherriff’s Office; honorary pallbearers will be Sgt. Jerry Byrd, Sgt. Jerry Ray, Josh Glass, Chase Shelley, AJ Stephens, Cameron Barnett, Tyler Lee and Jarod Barnett.
