A Minden man was arrested on drug charges after being pulled over for allegedly speeding.

According to reports, Micheal Milligan, 26, of the 12,000 block of U.S. Hwy. 80 was observed traveling at 84 miles-per-hour along Ashley Road by deputy Trey Walker.

During the traffic stop, Milligan appeared nervous and would not sit still while he was being issued a citation for speeding, deputy Walker said in the report.

After the deputy was given consent to search the vehicle, a smoking pipe with residue consistent with methamphetamine and a small baggie of 10 to 15 clonazepam pills were reportedly found in the center console.

Milligan was arrested and charged with possession of a schedule II drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a schedule IV drug with intent to distribute and transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center.
