Trial has been set for a Doyline man accused of domestic abuse battery.
Justin Lynn Rowell will go before 26th Judicial District Judge Jeff Cox on August 7 on charges of domestic abuse battery (first offense) and simple assault. He has pled not guilty to both charges.
According to reports, Webster Parish Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Avalon Shores in reference to a domestic disturbance. The victim told deputies he’d struck her during an argument. By the time law enforcement arrived on scene, Rowell had already left the residence, according to reports.
Later that day, they were dispatched back to the residence and Rowell was taken into custody.
Prosecuting the case is Assistant District Attorney Marcus Patillo, according to court records.
