The Minden library had a great turn out for this year’s Trunk or Treat Halloween event. Kids and parents showed up in costume to trick-or-treat for candy and trinkets in the parking lot of the main branch of Webster Parish Libraries and then explored the family-friendly haunted house, searching for Bruno.
Over 20 local businesses came out to support this event, which provided a safe environment for Halloween fun and a chance for everyone to check out each other’s costumes. Many of the kids were delighted at a chance to see fire engines, ambulances, and our local police officers up close and in person. As Kim Sentell, the Director of Marketing and Community Liaison, said, “Everything we do is for our community. We want to make sure they have a family-friendly Halloween.”
