USPS releases holiday shipping deadlines

Christmas is just around the corner and with more people using online shopping than ever, knowing postal deadlines for getting gifts to loved ones in time can be valuable information.

USPS Retail packages must be shipped by December 14. First Class mail, including greeting cards and packages must go out by December 20. Priority Express mail can ship by December 22 and get to loved ones by Christmas.

US Retail Ground for Air Force and Army post office packages must be shipped by November 6 while Priority and First Class mail for Air Force and Army post offices must be shipped by December 14.

Beginning December 10, the United States Postal Service expects to start their busiest time of year with nearly 200 million packages per week being delivered.
