Valentine’s charcuterie class set for Feb. 10

by Amber McDown

A Valentine’s-themed charcuterie class will be held February 10 at the Webster Extension Office, offering participants hands-on instruction in creating festive and nutritious boards.

The class, titled From the Heart: Valentine’s Charcuterie, is scheduled from noon to 1:30 PM and will be led by Dr. Shakera Williams, associate extension agent for nutrition and community health with the LSU AgCenter.

Participants will learn how to design a Valentine’s-themed charcuterie board, pair meats, cheeses, fruits and sweets, and use simple techniques to make boards visually appealing. The class is designed for those looking to create a gift or presentation for Valentine’s Day.

The cost is $25, payable by cash or check, with checks preferred and made payable to the LSU AgCenter. Registration is required by February 5, and space is limited.
