VALUE-ADDED BEE PRODUCTS WORKSHOP SET FOR SEPT 6 IN RUSTON

Free Workshop on Making and Marketing Bee Products

Ruston, Louisiana, August 12, 2022 – A free Value-Added Bee Products workshop will be offered on September 6, 2022, at the Lincoln Parish Library in Ruston, Louisiana.  This workshop will introduce ways to make and market bee products—even in an urban environment.  Special guest speaker is Amy Weeks, Master Craftsman Beekeeper at My Favorite Honey in West Monroe, Louisiana.  Weeks has served as past president of Hill Country Beekeepers, on the board of directors of the Louisiana Beekeepers Association, as a member of the American Apitherapy Society, and as a member of Monroe’s Herb Society.

The Lincoln Parish Library is located at 910 North Trenton Street, Ruston, Louisiana.  On September 6, 2022, on-site registration/sign-in will begin at the library at 5:15 p.m., with Johnny’s Pizza.  The workshop presentation will begin at 6:00 p.m. and conclude at 7:30 p.m.  Persons with disabilities who anticipate needing reasonable accommodations or who have questions about physical access may contact Trailblazer RC&D at (318) 255-3554 or [email protected] prior to the meeting or event.
