Velma “Frances” Foster Brister

Graveside services for Velma “Frances” Foster Brister will be held Monday, April 1, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Hurricane Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Sikes, Louisiana under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana. Officiating will be Rev. Ronnie Whitlock. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Sunday, March 31, 2019 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.

Frances was born March 7, 1940 and she loved traveling whenever she got the chance. She took the ultimate trip of her lifetime March 29, 2019 when she left this earth to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Frances lived a full life and enjoyed spending time with her numerous friends and family. She also loved going to car races and attending concerts. She enjoyed life to the fullest and was a true friend to all who had the privilege to know her. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross G. Brister, mother, Velma Fogger, step-father, Thomas Fogger, sister, Shirley Baker, and brothers, Darryl Fogger, George Fogger, and Jerry Kelly. 

She is survived by her sisters, Jean Goodeaux of Winnfield, Kaythena Simmons and husband Wade of Grayson, brothers, Glen Fogger, RN and wife Bonnie of Ruston, James Foster and wife Rae Ellen of Pineville, Bill Foster and wife Judy of Jonesborough, Tennessee, a number of nieces and nephews, and special friends, Billy Miller, Jimmy Miller, and Bashie Grice all of Minden. 

Pallbearers will be Adam Willoughby, Ken Brister, John Goodeaux, Marty Goodeaux, Chris Bruce, and Andy Bruce.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Willoughby and K.C. Brister

The family would like to extend special thanks to St. Joseph’s Hospice as well as Ken Brister and Sherry Willoughby.
