Webster Parish 4-H member earns top honors at District Horse Show

Carter Reeves of Webster Parish 4-H earned multiple championships and three buckles at the Northwest District Horse Show held Friday, June 13 at Rocking H Arena in Elm Grove.

Reeves competed in three divisions — Halter, Performance, and Speed Events — and captured top placements in nearly every class.

In the Halter division, Reeves was named class champion after earning first place in both the Halter and Showmanship classes. She was awarded a buckle for her performance.

In the Performance division, Reeves earned first place in Open Trail, Ranch Trail, Ranch Riding, and Western Riding. She placed second in both Stock Horse Pleasure and Western Horsemanship, and also earned second in Western Pleasure. Her combined results earned her the Performance Class Champion title and a second buckle.

Reeves completed a sweep of the event with another championship in Speed Events, taking first place in Barrels, Pole Bending, and the Stake Race. She was again named champion and received her third buckle of the show.

Webster Parish 4-H recognized Reeves for her strong performance, dedication and sportsmanship throughout the competition.
