The Webster Parish School Board held a New Teacher Breakfast on July 29 at Harper Pathways to Excellence to welcome 37 new teachers to the parish. Members of the administration, district staff, the Greater Minden Chamber, and sponsor Bonvenu Bank attended to greet the new educators, provide breakfast, and show appreciation for those teaching Webster Parish children this year.
The orientation included essential topics such as software programs for recording grades, attendance, and other administrative tasks. Teachers also learned about differentiated instructional strategies to address diverse learning needs and effective classroom management techniques for a positive and productive environment.
The event also allowed new faculty members to network and form connections, strengthening their support system for the upcoming school year.
The first day for students is August 9.
