Webster Parish voters will head to the polls November 3 for federal, state, and local races, with early voting beginning October 20 at locations in Minden and Springhill.
Early voting will be held from Tuesday, October 20, through Tuesday, October 27, excluding Sunday, October 25. Voting hours are 8:30 AM to 6 PM each day. The Louisiana Secretary of State lists the same statewide early voting dates and hours.
Webster Parish residents may vote early at the Registrar of Voters Office in the Webster Parish Courthouse, 410 Main St., first floor, Room 101, in Minden, or at the Springhill Civic Center, 101 Machen Drive, in Springhill.
Those waiting until Election Day should report to their assigned precinct Tuesday, November 3. Polls will be open from 6 AM to 8 PM.
The Webster Parish Registrar of Voters has also released the parish’s polling locations for the November 3 election and the December 12 election.
Springhill precincts 1, 1A, 2, 3, and 5 will vote at the Springhill Civic Center, 101 Machen Drive. Precinct 6 will vote at the Cullen Municipal Building, 405 Coyle Ave.
Sarepta Community Building, 210 Vines St., will serve precincts 8 and 11, while precincts 9, 9A, and 10 will vote at the New Shongaloo Civic Center, 119 Highway Alt. 2. Precincts 12 and 13 will vote at North Webster Upper Elementary, 6245 Highway 160 in Cotton Valley.
Precinct 14 will vote at the Evergreen Volunteer Fire Department, 1853 Evergreen Road, Minden, while precinct 15 will vote at the Pleasant Valley UMC Activities Building, 16835 Highway 371, Minden.
A number of Minden precincts will use the Minden Civic Center, 520 Broadway St. Precincts 16, 22, 22A, 26, 27, 33, and 34 are assigned there, with the Registrar of Voters noting that the Civic Center location for precinct 16 is for this election only.
Precincts 17, 17A, and 29 will vote at J.E. Harper Pathway to Excellence School, 618 Germantown Road. Precincts 18 and 18A will use the west entrance of the Webster Courthouse Annex, 401 Main St.
Precincts 25 and 25A will vote at Phillips Elementary School, 811 Durwood Drive. Precincts 28 and 31 will vote at the Minden Community House, 711 Gladney St.
Dubberly Fire Station, 838 Highway 532, will serve precincts 32 and 36. Precincts 35 and 40 will vote at the Sibley Civic Center, 127 SE Fourth Ave., while precincts 38 and 39 will vote at the Heflin Civic Center, 116 N. Main St.
Doyline High School, 376 College St., will serve precincts 41 and 42. Precinct 43 will vote at Fire District No. 7, Fire Station No. 5, 11217 Highway 80, Minden.
The Webster Parish Board of Supervisors of Elections will meet at 10 AM Wednesday, October 7, at the Registrar of Voters Office to select commissioners and alternates for the November 3 election.
Voters can also use the Geaux Vote app or the Louisiana Secretary of State’s online voter portal to check their registration information, polling place, and sample ballot.
The Secretary of State lists October 5 as the deadline to register in person or by mail for the November election and October 13 as the deadline to register through the state’s online system. The deadline for most voters to request an absentee ballot is October 30 at 4:30 PM, and completed absentee ballots generally must be received by the Registrar of Voters by 4:30 PM November 2.
A second election is scheduled for Saturday, December 12. According to the Secretary of State’s current election calendar, early voting for that election will be held November 28 through December 5, excluding Sunday, November 29, from 8:30 AM to 6 PM.
The same two Webster Parish early voting sites — the Registrar of Voters Office in Minden and the Springhill Civic Center — will be available for the December election.
