Dustin Smart, a student at Northwest Louisiana Technical College, takes aim at a target during the school’s first-ever scholarship archery tournament Saturday. Competitors from throughout the region converged behind the main campus of the school for the wild game style event.
The Piney Woods Master Gardeners held “Trails and Trellises,” a tour of area gardens Saturday. In Minden, the event was held at the teaching garden of the LSU AgCenter Extension Service on Homer Road. In addition, a Master Gardeners Sale was held at the location.
