William Carter780Funeral services for William L. “Bill” Carter were at 3 p.m., Sunday, July 5, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Minden with the Rev. Leland Crawford and Rob Basham officiating. The family received friends at 2 p.m., Sunday at First Baptist Church prior to the service.

Bill was born June 18, 1930, in Shreveport and entered into rest July 2, 2015 in Minden. Bill was a retired accountant for West Brothers, a member of First Baptist Church Minden, and a member of Gideon’s International. He was a clock builder and loved working with wood.

He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Carter.

He is survived by his daughters, Judith D’Angelo and husband Stephen of Pass Christian, Mississippi and Jean Basham and husband Ronnie of Minden; grandchildren, Geoffrey Monzingo, William D’Angelo, Christian D’Angelo, Rob Basham, Angela Basham Partington; and great-grandchildren, Taylor Monzingo, Walker Basham, Abigail Basham, Brantley D’Angelo, Daniel Partington, and Nathan Partington.
