SAREPTA – One person is dead following a crash Friday at Muddy Bottoms ATV & Recreation Park in Sarepta.

Two all-terrain vehicles collided head-on at the park, Webster Parish Sheriff Gary Sexton said Friday night.

Three other people were injured in the collision.

The crash killed 40-year-old Alissa Wiley, of Dry Prong, who was driving one of the ATVs; her passenger refused treatment, Webster sheriff’s Chief Deputy Bobby Igo said.

The other riders of the other ATV were transported to Springhill Medical Center in Springhill. Their injuries did not appear to be life threatening, Igo said.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of each individual involved in this accident,” Ray Delia, the park’s general manager said in a statement. “Muddy Bottoms ATV & Recreation Park has fully cooperated with local law enforcement as they complete their investigation. Our hearts go out to all affected by this incident.”

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Law enforcement officials say they are running toxicology tests to determine whether alcohol played a role in the incident.

Friday’s fatality marks the fourth since the park opened in May 2014.

In February, a Sarepta woman died when an ATV she was riding hit a tree.

In September 2015, a Barksdale Air Force Base airman and a DeQueen, Arkansas, woman were killed in separate crashes on the same day.

The park, which was hosting Redneck Revival, remained opened Easter weekend following the fatality.
