Karen’s Korner,
There was a game called Trivial Pursuit, and I loved to play the game with a group of friends to see just how much we remembered back when. Trivia has gained new popularity, plus it is a good way to exercise our minds and brains.
As defined in the Webster’s Dictionary, “Trivia includes details, considerations, or pieces of information of little importance or value.” But it was still fun to try and answer those frivolous and meaningless questions. And I have to admit, it was pretty educational at times, and just a fun game to play.
Here are some examples: See how many you can answer.
- What is the name of the iconic movie that featured the line, “Here’s looking at you, kid”?
- What are the tissues called which connect bones to muscles?
- True or False: Daylight saving time was implemented for farmers.
- What is the world’s rarest eye color?
- What kids’ snacks, packaged in small boxes with Barnum & Bailey circus graphics, come in 19 different shapes?
- Who starred as Rick Blaine in the classic film “Casablanca” (1942)?
- In this musical film, Maria becomes a governess for the von Trapp family and brings music back into their lives.
- Who played the role of George Bailey in the 1946 Christmas-themed film “It’s a Wonderful Life?”
- Name the brand that introduced the first-ever fully automatic drip coffee maker in the 1970s.
Hope some of these have brought back some memories. I will share the answers next week.
