Nominations are now being accepted for the Minden Man of the Year Award, an honor recognizing service and dedication to the community, sponsored by the Minden Lions Club.
The recipient will be announced during the Greater Minden Chamber Awards Gala on Tuesday, March 24. The nomination deadline is February 18, 2026, at 11:59 PM.
Nominees will be evaluated by a committee made up of representatives from the Minden Lions Club, Young Women’s Service Club, Greater Minden Chamber, Minden Evening Lions Club and Minden Civitans.
Organizers encourage residents to submit detailed nominations outlining why a candidate is deserving of the award. Information may include biographical background, family and professional life, civic involvement, community contributions and leadership qualities. Additional details are encouraged to assist the selection committee.
The Minden Man of the Year Award has a long history, with recipients dating back to 1946. Last year’s honoree was Tracy L. Campbell.
