The American Legion is inviting the public to attend its annual Changing of the Flags ceremony at Eagle Park on Turner’s Pond at 9AM on Saturday, July 4.
The annual Independence Day observance honors the service and sacrifice of America’s military veterans and has become a longstanding tradition in the Minden community.
This year’s ceremony will include the changing of the flags, the presentation of a new Honor Wall plaque recognizing a distinguished veteran, the laying of a memorial wreath, and other patriotic observances.
The event is free and open to the public. Community members are encouraged to attend and join veterans, their families, and local residents in recognizing those who have served the nation.
