Vintage Car Club gears up for 18th annual Car and Bike Show

by Amber McDown

Classic cars, motorcycles, and other eye-catching rides will take over downtown Minden when the Vintage Car Club of Minden hosts its 18th Annual Car and Bike Show on Saturday, September 12.

The annual event brings vehicle enthusiasts and spectators together for a day celebrating everything from carefully restored classics to motorcycles and other custom rides. Visitors can stroll among the vehicles on display, talk with owners and fellow enthusiasts, and enjoy food trucks and live entertainment in downtown Minden.

The show has become an annual tradition for the Vintage Car Club, whose motto is “Restoring the Community One Vehicle at a time!!!” The family-oriented nonprofit combines its members’ enthusiasm for vehicles with service to the community.

In addition to participating in area parades and car shows, the Vintage Car Club sponsors sports organizations and provides assistance to people in need.

Vehicle owners are invited to become part of the show and put their own prized rides on display. Cars, bikes, and other motorized vehicles are welcome, giving spectators an opportunity to see a wide variety of makes, models, styles, and eras gathered in one place.

For longtime car enthusiasts, the show offers a chance to appreciate the work that goes into preserving and restoring vintage vehicles. For casual visitors and families, it provides an opportunity to spend a Saturday downtown surrounded by polished chrome, distinctive paint jobs, classic designs, and plenty of horsepower.

Pre-registration continues through Friday, September 11. Registration information is available at vintagemindencars.com.
