National Day of Prayer kicked off Thursday with events all around town, but it did not end there. On Friday, a worship service was hosted at Living Word in Minden. Saturday was supposed to be full of Vacation Bible Schools in parks around town, but they were cancelled to due the weather. On Sunday, the community gathered at Academy Park for a picnic and hangout where 318FoodCo. pizza truck made pizzas to order. This was the first National Day of Prayer weekend in Minden. Volunteers are excited and anticipating next year’s event.
