MINDEN – Melissa Wilkie Fox will be presenting at the Minden Lion’s Club on Thursday, December 12, 2019. Mrs. Fox will be telling the story of the life of Lieutenant Colonel Adolf “Wes” Wesslehoeft, who as a six year old American citizen was sent with his family to an internment camp in Crystal City, Texas. He and his family were then traded for other Americans with Nazi Germany. After enduring bombings, hunger and deprivation in Germany, Lt. Colonel Wesselhoeft made his way back to the United States and joined the Air Force. His story is one of faith, perseverance and love of country.
