“Funeral services for Roy Hasty, 76, of Marietta, Georgia will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3.
Mr. Hasty, formerly of Minden, is survived by his wife of 57 years, Janice Rogers Hasty; 3 sons: Jason (Misty) Hasty of Augusta, Georgia; Jeremy (Julie) Hasty of Broussard, Louisiana; and Jody Hasty of Woodstock, Georgia; 9 grandchildren: Jaron Hasty, Joshua Hasty, Juliana Hasty, Riley Hasty, Michael Dawson Hasty, Braelin Hasty, Jeana Hasty, Jessica Hasty, and Jaeda Hasty; one brother: James Hasty of Dubberly, Louisiana; Sisters Jeanette Smith of Texarkana, Texas; Barbara Zeigler of Shreveport; and Patricia McCoy of Stonewall, Louisiana. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. He will be missed by Blue Bell, his beloved support dog.
Roy Hasty is preceded in passing by his parents, W. D. and Ruby Hasty of Minden; his brother Robert Hasty of Minden; and his sister Maxine Hasty of Bossier City.
Mr. Hasty was retired from Bellsouth International, Inc. He graduated in 1961 from Minden High School, and at the age of 50, he earned his Business Degree from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia.
Following the ceremony, Mr. Hasty will be laid to rest at Gardens of Memory in Minden.
