In the spirit of tradition that has endured since 1955, Doyline High School will be crowning its Halloween Princesses at the annual Carnival. The coveted title goes to the junior and senior high school girls who raised the most funds through her diligent efforts.
Throughout the entire month of October, these dedicated students collected donations, organized outside sales, and served food and concessions daily during school breaks. The culmination of their hard work will take place on Monday, October 30th, during the Carnival held at Doyline High School from 5pm to 7pm.
Last year’s spirited fundraiser witnessed the princesses raising $9,562.05, continuing a legacy that has spanned an impressive 68 years. The funds generated at this event are crucial to the school, supporting various everyday activities and the acquisition of essential supplies that aid in enhancing students’ learning experiences.
The Carnival itself is an enticing affair, featuring an array of games, delectable snacks, a haunted house, and more. For admission, arm bands are available at the door for $25, while the haunted house charges a nominal $2 per entry, and $2 grants attendees a chance to test their aim at the infamous “pie in the face.”
The evening’s festivities will reach a pinnacle with the gym presentation of the princesses, a spirited costume contest, and the exciting prospect of door prizes. Attendees can partake in these activities for an entry fee of $1.
The spirited event couldn’t have been possible without the dedication of the princesses, their devoted helpers, and escorts:
