In a festive spirit of community support, Minden is set to paint the town with local flair on Small Business Saturday, November 25. The event, aligned with American Express Small Business Saturday, invites residents to indulge in the charm of historical Minden while supporting the backbone of the community—the small businesses that add character and uniqueness to the town.

Shop Small Saturday is not just about shopping; it’s a day-long celebration of local entrepreneurship. Residents are encouraged to explore the historical streets and discover the treasures offered by various participating businesses. From ACE Hardware to Bellavana Coffee Truck, Grays Jewelry to It’s Sew Monica, the town will be buzzing with open houses, sidewalk sales, and in-store specials. Additionally, shoppers stand a chance to win exciting prizes through in-store drawings with purchase.

One highlight of the day is the Geaux Fresh Brunch Experience, promising a tantalizing journey for the taste buds. With an extensive menu featuring delights such as biscuit waffles, shrimp and grits, and cinnamon rolls, Geaux Fresh invites residents to indulge in a culinary extravaganza. The MANGO ROOM POPUP adds an exclusive touch with signature treats and live cooking demonstrations. The Geaux Fresh Brunch will be held 9 AM until 1 PM.

For families looking to kick off the holiday season in a charming way, the Par Tea Room offers Breakfast with Santa. Seating times at 9 AM, 10:30 AM, and noon provide a delightful opportunity for children to share a meal with Santa himself. Moreover, 10% of all proceeds from this event will be donated to St. Jude, adding a charitable aspect to the festive occasion. For those interested in the Par Tea Room’s Breakfast with Santa, inquiries can be made by calling 318-639-9516.

Small businesses are the heartbeat of the Minden community, and Shop Small Saturday is the perfect occasion to show support. By patronizing these local establishments, residents directly contribute to the dreams and aspirations of entrepreneurs who add vibrancy to the town.

So, mark your calendars for November 25 and join Minden in a day filled with festive activities, delicious food, and a shared celebration of local businesses. Come hungry, come curious, and come ready to support the backbone of our community.

As the holiday season kicks off, Minden invites everyone to Shop Small and make a big impact on the community.
