Tre Kent’s free throw with no time remaining made it a walk-off home win for the Apaches Friday night as Glenbrook defeated Haynesville 52-51.
It was a tight game the whole way through after Collin Gregg nailed a 3-pointer that gave the Apaches the opening lead. The teams were knotted up at 25-25 at halftime.
“We got in foul trouble early and our best rebounder ended up fouling out early in the third quarter,” said Glenbrook coach James Thurman. “With a seven-man roster, racking up fouls can really put you in a bind. Our kids found a way to adjust and come out with the win. I’m very proud of their effort and determination.”
