Bistineau Task Force to meet Jan. 26

The Bistineau Task Force will meet 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan 21 at the Webster Parish Courthouse.

The meeting will be the first of five scheduled for the year to discuss plans for management of Lake Bistineau.

On the agenda, the task force will discuss the report on the mailout regarding membership in 2016, updates from Trailblazer and an update on the Weevel Release Project from Pete Camp, comments from Jeff Sibley of the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, discuss the status of the lake and comments from the audience and task force members.

The Bistineau Task Force was formed in 2009 by action of the Bossier Parish Police Jury, the Webster Parish Police Jury and the Bienville Parish Police Jury, for the purpose of fostering better communications between the state, the parish governments and private stakeholders.
