Minden Mayor Tommy Davis (back row, middle) signed a proclamation last Friday declaring this week to be National Safe Boater’s Week. This year’s campaign slogan is “Wear It,” reminding those who go aboard boats to put on their life jackets. Helping to illustrate this important point are (bottom row, L to R) Owen Chapman, Julia Chapman and Georgia Chapman. Also in attendance were Jerry Madden (back left), representing the United States Fighter Squadron, and Dwayne Chapman (back right) representing the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA).
