The body of a Minden man who had been missing since early Saturday morning was discovered Tuesday in a wooded area near Interstate 20, authorities said.
Webster Parish Sheriff Jason Parker confirmed that searchers located the body of 52-year-old Keddrick “Ked” Kennon near the westbound lanes of I-20, close to the Dubberly exit. The discovery was made in the vicinity where Kennon’s abandoned truck had previously been found.
“We have sent the body for autopsy to determine the cause of death,” Parker said. “There was no apparent evidence of trauma, but we, along with the coroner’s office, will continue to investigate this until we know for sure.”
Kennon was last seen early Saturday when he reportedly left for work. Authorities initiated a search that included the use of drones, focusing on the area around his parked vehicle on the side of the highway.
“We continued to expand the search radius until we were able to locate Mr. Kennon,” Parker said.
The investigation remains ongoing.
