Haynesville, LA— Funeral service for Mrs. Carol Sue Shields Rupert , age 76, will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, July 14, 2018, at the First Assembly of God Church, Haynesville, LA with Bro. Rodney Gray officiating. Interment will follow in Old Town Cemetery, Haynesville under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Haynesville.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 13, 2018, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Rupert was born on April 23, 1942 to Jesse James and Nancy Cartmell Shields in Pawnee, OK and passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018 in Farmerville, LA. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church, Haynesville and was a homemaker. She enjoyed puzzles, reading, and spent her life taking care of her daughter and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Mosley of West Monroe, LA; two grandsons, Michael Mosley and wife, Kathy of Longview, TX, Jeffrey Mosley and wife, Jami of Sparkman, AR; granddaughter, Kristin Goodgion of West Monroe, LA; great-grandchildren, Mikey, Mason, Slate, Maggie, and Duke; two sisters, Ruby Back, Diane Harwick; and two brothers, Roger Shields and Allen Shields.
Mrs. Rupert was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gary Leon Rupert; brothers, Arthur Shields, Cecil Shields; and sisters, Lucille Wade and Mary Lou Reynard.
