Civitans accepting toys for Santa

Applications for Civitan Santa must be submitted by tomorrow

The annual Christmas Toy Program “Civitan Santa” jointly sponsored by the Minden Civitan Club and the Young Women’s Service Club is in full swing.

Each year the local Civitan Club with the help of the Young Women’s Service Club collects and distribute toys to needy children in the Minden – South Webster Parish area. Members of the Minden City Police Department and the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office will deliver the toys just before Christmas.

Donated new toys may be delivered to the Minden Police or any Civitan member and cash donations may be sent to the Minden Civitan Club, P. O. Box 95, Minden, La. 71058. Several businesses will also have drop boxes for toys.

Application forms may be picked up at the Minden City Police Department, the Webster Community Action offices or at the local UCAP office. Applications will be considered for children though age 13.

In order to have all of the toys delivered by Christmas all applications for assistance must be in the hands of the sponsors by Wednesday.
