HAUGHTON-Louisiana State Police are investigating a crash involving a pedestrian in Bossier Parish that left one man dead.

It happened just after 11 p.m. Saturday on La. Hwy. 157 at Bills Lane.

Troopers say a 2013 Nissan Rogue driven by 48-year-old Kim Dewberry of Doyline, was traveling south when it struck 29-year-old Michael Morris Jr. of Haughton.

According to troopers, Morris was walking in the south bound lane near the whit fog line. Morris was wearing dark clothing and there was no light in the area where he was walking, troopers say.

Morris was pronounced dead at the scene by the Bossier Parish Coroner.

Troopers say impairment is not suspected, but a toxicology sample was obtained.
