Dan Tarno was born March 2, 1963 and passed away May 16, 2016 in Haughton. He was raised in Dallas and later moved to Louisiana.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. June 11 at Trinity Baptist Church in Doyline.

Dan had a life-long passion for music. He was self-taught on the piano, guitar, bass guitar, lead guitar and steel guitar. He had an amazing singing voice. Every song was sung with his whole heart and soul.

Dan was a very loving and giving person and reached out to help everyone. He is greatly missed and will forever be in our hearts.

He loved and adored his children and grandbabies.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Tammy Tarno of Haughton, son Michael Tarno and fiance Treasure Striplin of Dixie Inn, daughter Sara Tarno Kilday and husband Travis Kilday of Haughton, stepsons Jason Hall of Venton, and Johnathan Hall of Bossier City, granddaughters Gracie, Lexis and Vallie, grandson Landon, parents Paul and Janet Tarno of Gun Barrel City, sisters Shelah Cole of Kemp, Paula Tarno of Mabank, Michelle Tarno of Chapel Hill, many aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.

Preceeding him in death were grandparents James Alfred Ballard and Martha Wynell Ballard and Henry Holland Horn Sr. and Francis Irene Horn.
