Local businesses and organizations are gearing up for a magical experience as Webster Parish Libraries prepare to host their highly anticipated “Hogwarts Trunk or Treat” events at the Minden and Springhill branches. The deadline to register a trunk is Tuesday, October 8, with many participants already signed up.
The themed event invites participants to decorate their trunks with creative Halloween or Harry Potter-inspired designs, while families from the community enjoy treats and festivities. Attendees can also vote for their favorite decorated trunk, with prizes sponsored by the Springhill~North Webster Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Minden Chamber.
In addition to trunk displays, the events will feature talented local artists. Face painters Evelyn Colvin and Becky Meziere will be offering fantastical transformations at both locations, and balloon artist DAT Does the Trick will amaze the crowd with intricate balloon creations.
The “Hogwarts Trunk or Treat” will be held at the Springhill branch on Tuesday, October 22, from 4 to 6 PM, and at the Minden branch on Monday, October 28, from 5 to 7 PM. Food trucks will also be on-site at both locations, offering a range of treats for event-goers.
