Funeral services for Don D. Puckett will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden with the Rev. Jim Crain and Jimmy Koonce officiating. Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. prior to service.

Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden.

Don was born on Nov. 26, 1944 in Lecompte and died on Sept. 23, 2015. On this day, Heaven received their strongest angel yet, and our greatest hero. He was surrounded by family and friends that have been greatly touched throughout his courageous battle.

Those who had the honor of knowing Don became familiar with the definition of strength. As a decorated Vietnam War Veteran and self-employed business owner, Don was able to impact the lives of those that he came in contact with through his example of determination.

Don is survived by his devoted wife Millie of 51 years; son Greg and wife Tanya of Benton; and son Chad and wife Tina of Choudrant; grandchildren Britni, Michael, Abby, Alex and Makenzie Puckett.

Preceded in death by his parents I.D. and Stella Puckett and son Brian Puckett.

Pallbearers will be Michael Puckett, Alex Puckett, Danny Grayson, Shelton King, David Rico and Jeff Haynes.

Honorary pallbearers will be Good Samaritan Sunday School Class, Doyle Faust, Mike Powell, Ron Dreadin and Larry Grayson.
