Dr. Rebecca Wilson named Webster Parish School Board personnel director

Dr. Rebecca Wilson, the current principal of Minden High School, is set to take on a new role as the Webster Parish School Board (WPSB) personnel director, succeeding Mrs. Robin Tucker, who is retiring after a distinguished career in education.

Mrs. Tucker’s 33-year tenure includes serving as WPSB personnel director and  assistant principal then principal of Minden High School.

“I am very happy to know Dr. Wilson will be transitioning into the position of personnel director. I believe her experience and enthusiasm will benefit our district as it continues to move forward, and I am confident she will work extremely hard in recruiting and retaining the best possible workforce for the students of Webster Parish.”

Dr. Wilson will transition to her new position on July 1, marking a significant change for both her and the district. The district has initiated a search for a new principal, aiming to fill the vacancy by the start of the 2024-2025 school year.

Wilson’s tenure at Minden High School has been characterized by dedication and a commitment to student success. Her move to the district level is seen as a positive step forward, bringing her leadership and vision to a broader scope within Webster Parish.
