High school softball: Minden’s Adams, Lakeside’s McCoy make LSCA All-State teams

Minden’s Jacey Adams and Lakeside’s MacKenzie McCoy have been named to the Louisiana Softball Coaches Association’s All-State teams in their respective divisions.

Adams, a recent graduate, was one of eight players selected at utility on the Class 4A team.

McCoy, who will be a senior this fall, was one of eight players selected at utility on the Class 2A team.

Adams, a Baton Rouge Community College signee, batted .382 with six doubles, one triple, one home run and 21 RBI. She was a catcher.

McCoy, an infielder, led Lakeside in hitting with a .550 average. She had 18 doubles, four triples, four home runs and 39 RBI.

A player must be a first-team All-District selection to be eligible for the LSCA teams. Coaches nominate players then the membership votes on the teams.
