Four states and representatives from 21 chapters in the Southwest Region of the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc. recently met in Tyler, Texas for the annual Regional Conference, where the Epsilon Rho Chapter of PDK took home several awards.
During the awards banquet, Epsilon Rho was recognized for several activities including the membership growth award, exemplary program award – youth category, plaque and certificate for literacy, publication award, and regional gold award. We had two first time attendees who were recognized and received awards: Sorors Sonia Holliday and Latanjorea Smith. Basileus Amanda Thomas and Regional Epistoleus Janice Givens received certificates for participating in the scholarship walk.
Other events during the weekend conference included a red hat luncheon, professional workshops, vital issues discussion and several other activities. Regional Director Dr. Sylvia Williams presided over the conference, while National President Charlotte Williams was present. Epsilon Beta was the host chapter.
