Funeral services for Mr. Phillip Matthew Baker, 66, will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 18, 2016, at the Old Sarepta Missionary Baptist Church in Sarepta where he was a member, with the Rev. Todd Pickard officiating. Interment will follow in the Cotton Valley Cemetery in Cotton Valley under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Springhill.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 17, 2016, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Old Sarepta Missionary Baptist Church in Sarepta.

Mr. Baker was born on April 28, 1950 to Harry H. and Lillie Sullivan Baker in Springhill and passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2016 in Shreveport. He was a lifelong resident of this area and was retired from Allied Waste Industry as a machine operator.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Ludie Morrison Baker of Cotton Valley; mother, Lillie Sullivan Baker of Cotton Valley; daughter, Amy Simonton and husband, John of Minden; son, Matt Baker and wife, Christy of Benton; step-son, Dallas Bennett and wife, Beth of Sarepta; step-daughters, Melissa Bennett of Sarepta, SuAnne Ingle and husband, Marty of Taylor, Arkansas, Jeri Lynn Burrell and husband, Chris of Benton; brother, Billy Don Baker and wife, Linda of Cotton Valley; 14 grandchildren, Clay, Gracie Claire and Camille Simonton, Bailey and Dawson Baker, Dillion and Emily Bennett, Dillon McAnally, Lucas and Garrett Ingle, Cort Lee, Ladon, Lucas, and Levi Burrell.

Mr. Baker was preceded in death by father, Harry H. Baker Jr.; a son Billy Joe Baker; brother, Kenny Joe Baker and a step-grandson, Pearce Lee.

Pallbearers will be Winford Sullivan, Roger Sullivan, Steve Sullivan, Tim Sullivan, Morgan Dennis, Dallas Bennett, Dillion Bennett and Jared Tyler.
