Barksdale Federal Credit Union is offering the community an opportunity to securely dispose of sensitive documents during a Free Shred Day event on Saturday, October 19. The event will take place from 9 AM until noon at 105 Richard’s Way in Minden.
Participants will have the chance to watch their private information run through the shredder. The event is open to the public, but individuals are asked to limit the amount of materials they bring to two bags per person.
In partnership with On-site Secure Shredding (OSS), Barksdale Federal Credit Union aims to provide residents with a convenient way for individuals to safely discard confidential papers, helping reduce the risk of identity theft.
For updates regarding event postponement or early closure due to weather, equipment issues, or other circumstances, attendees are encouraged to check Barksdale Federal Credit Union’s Facebook page.
