Minden, Lakeside and Glenbrook all posted victories Monday.
Minden edged Loyola College Prep 2-1 at Minden, Lakeside topped Evangel Christian 10-4 at Evangel and Glenbrook opened District 1-1A play with a 15-0 victory over Arcadia at Glenbrook.
Elsewhere, Doyline came up just short against Red River, falling 3-2 in nine innings in Coushatta.
At Minden, Jaxon Smith pitched a three-hitter. He struck out six and walked only one.
The Crimson Tide scored one in the first. Brandon Winston led off with a single and scored on Jakobe Jackson’s double.
Minden added one in the second thanks to Bryson Ranger’s leadoff single, two walks and a hit batter.
Minden (13-7) hosts Bossier in a District 1-4A game Tuesday.
At Evangel, the Warriors broke a 2-2 tie with eight runs in the top of the fourth.
Lakeside had nine hits in the inning, including a triple by Eli Musgraves.
Jon Jon Dick went 3-for-4 in the game with two doubles. Matthew Aguilera went 3-for-4 with two RBI.
Cade Boley went 2-for-3 with two doubles. Hunter Sutton went 2-for-3. Musgraves went 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Jordan Isbell got the win. He allowed just three hits in 6 1/3 innings.
Lakeside (13-9) visits Calvary Baptist in a District 1-2A game Thursday.
At Glenbrook, 11 Apaches combined for 12 hits in the four-inning game.
Seth Mangrum went 2-for-2 with three RBI. Garrett Brown had a double and two RBI.
Maddox Mandino had a triple. Jackson Waller had a double.
Cason Clemons, Josh Chandler and Ryan Reagan combined on a no-hitter with eight strikeouts.
Glenbrook (14-8) visits Cedar Creek Friday.
At Red River, Doyline tied the game at 2 with two runs in the top of the sixth.
Red River won it on a one-put single with the bases loaded in the ninth.
Noah Spears scattered seven hits in 7 2/3 innings. He struck out 13 and walked only two.
Kenneth Lee went 2-for-4. Cameron Johnson had two RBI. Spears had a double.
Doyline visits Castor Thursday.
