The Minden Crimson Tide overcame a slow with a strong finish in a 66-46 District 1-4A victory over the Southwood Cowboys Friday night at Minden.
The Tide trailed 18-2 after the first quarter. Minden began to rally in the second and trailed 25-16 at the half.
The Tide dominated the third quarter 20-4, taking a 36-29 lead. They outscored the Cowboys 30-17 in the fourth.
Cameron Parker led Minden (13-8, 4-2) with 18 points. Kameron Harris added 14 and Markavius Johnson 13. Gerald Richardson scored nine.
Parker went over 1,000 points for his career.
Karter McDowell led Southwood (9-12, 3-4) with 23 points.
The Minden Lady Tiders fell to Southwood 61-54 in a hard-fought game in their regular-season finale. The Lady Cowboys (17-10, 7-0) ran the table in the district.
Minden finished the regular season 16-13. The Lady Tiders will be on the road in the first round of the non-select Division II playoffs.
The LHSAA will announce official pairings Monday.
In a District 1-1A boys game, Glenbrook battled hard against Haynesville before falling 49-45 at Haynesville. The Apaches (7-19) host Converse Tuesday.
The Glenbrook girls fell to Haynesville in their final game.
