High school girls basketball: Minden, North Webster fall in first round of playoffs

The Minden Lady Tiders and North Webster Lady Knights both fell in the first round of the playoffs Thursday night.

In non-select Division II, No. 23 seed Minden list to No. 10 Brusly 42-24 at Brusly.

Minden finished 16-14 in its first season under Head Coach Kelli Edwards.

Brusly improved to 20-11.

In non-select Division III, No. 28 North Webster fell to No. 5 Ville Platte 73-48 at Ville Platte. The Lady Knights finished 9-19. Ville Platte improved to 22-5.

Shakyra Hawkins led North Webster with 21 points. Nazaria Caldwell scored 18.
