High school softball: Glenbrook rolls to 13th victory

The Glenbrook Lady Apaches routed Caldwell Parish 19-4 Thursday at Glenbrook.

Elsewhere, Doyline fell to Castor 10-8 in a District 1-B game at Doyline.

At Glenbrook, the Lady Apaches led 8-4 through three innings then ended the game with 11 runs in the bottom of the fourth.

Gabi Brown went 3-for-3 with a home run, double and two RBI. Hallie Sutton went 2-for-2 with a home run and two RBI.

Chloe Gregg went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI. Ellie Earnhardt went 2-for-3. 

Gracie Heard had a double and three RBI.

Kynzie Smith had a double and two RBI. Anna Grace Vining had four RBI. Addison Chanler had two RBI. Savannah Mangrum struck out five and walked two.

Glenbrook (13-3) is scheduled to play in the Sulphur tournament next. Caldwell Parish dropped to 7-13.

At Doyline, Castor broke an 8-8 tie with two runs in the top of the sixth.

Lanie Gates went 2-for-4. Kanyion Bartlett had two RBI. Karmadie Bartlett had a double. 

Doyline (5-2, 1-1) visits Weston Friday at 5. Castor improved to 8-5 and 1-2.
