The Lakeside Lady Warriors won twice Friday on the first day of the Lakeside tournament.
The Lady Warriors defeated North Webster 12-2 and Haynesville 20-5.
Paiton Levesque went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI against North Webster. Hallie Sutton had two hits and two RBI.
Mackenzie McCoy had a double and two RBI.
McKenna Chreene struck out 12 and allowed just three hits in the five-inning game, per Lakeside stats.
North Webster’s Aniyah Davis had a double.
Chreene went 4-for-4 with a home run, double and four RBI in the four-inning game against Haynesville. McCoy also went 4-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.
Teal Austin went 3-for-4 with a two RBI. Lexi Wood went 2-for-3 with a triple and four RBI.
Levesque went 2-for-3 with a triple. Laiklyn Squyres had two hits. Karrigan Davis had a double and two RBI.
The tournament is scheduled to conclude Saturday.
Lakeside (6-7) faces Summerfield at 11:30 a.m. in the first game followed by North Webster vs. Castor at 1:30, Summerfield vs. North Webster at 3:30 and Lakeside vs. Castor at 5:30.
Elsewhere, Glenbrook extended its winning streak to four with a 14-2 victory over Forest in the St. Frederick tournament,
The Lady Apaches rallied from an 11-9 deficit, scoring three in the top of the sixth and two in the top of the seventh.
Hallie Harmon went 3-for-5 with a home run, double and three RBI.
Gabi Brown went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. Vivian Still went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI.
Sarah Margaret Mosley went 2-for-3 and walked twice. Ellie Earnhardt had three RBI.
Rebecca Mosley struck out 10 in 5 1/3 innings.
Glenbrook (5-3) plays Downsville at noon and St. Frederick at 2 on Saturday.
