North Webster finished second in the girls division in the District 1-3A meet Thursday at Sterlington.
The Lady Knights scored 105 points. Sterlington won with 160. Carroll was third with 62.
Sterlington also won the boys division with 149 points. Carroll was second with 82 followed by Bastrop with 68 and North Webster with 46.
The top four individuals and relay teams in each event qualified for the Region I-3A meet Tuesday at Sterlington.
Girls
North Webster athletes won six individual events. The Lady Knights also won two of the four relays
Xhailor Mcglothan and Tatyana Lawson finished 1-2 in the 100 in 12.81 and 12.84, respectively.
Andrea’a Washington won the 300 hurdles in 49.56. Richwood’s Deshaun Johnson was second in 55.84.
Kipper Wooten won the high jump with a height of 5-0. She also finished second in the 100 hurdles in 18.42. Sterlington’s Brantlee Rinehart was second in the high jump with a 4-10. Sterlington’s Caroline Raley won the 100 hurdles in 17.68.
Tomiyah Hawthorne took the shot put with a 34-9. Carroll’s Tyanna Wilhite was second with a 34-2.
Angel Jackson won the discus with an 80-6. Sterlington’s Trinity Martin was second with an 80-0.
Kylee Sanders captured the triple jump with a 33-1. Sterlington’s Amelya Yanez was second with a 32-5.5.
The foursome of Lawson, Mcglothan, Washington and Sanders took the 4X100 relay in 49.76. Carroll was second in 53.22.
The same group won the 4X200 in 1:49.46. Richwood was second in 1:52.22.
The foursome of Shakyra Hawkins, Kamaria Blakely, Washington and Elleigh Stewart was second in the 4X400 in 4:35.78. Sterlington won in 4:24.13.
The foursome of Brynlee Colley, Rachel Gelding, Leilah Briggs and Lydia Morgan finished third in the 4X800.
Other North Webster regional meet qualifiers in individual events were Blakely (4th, 400), Anna Merritt (3rd, 1,600), Yakira Valentine (4th, 100 hurdles) and Hawkins (3rd, long jump).
Boys
North Webster had two winners.
Donte Owens took the 200 in 22.90 and Javion Hawthorne won the discus with a 131-0.
Richwood’s Ja’Qari Brown finished second in the 200 in 22.94. Sterlington’s Andrew Whitlock was second in the discus with a 126-0.
Other regional qualifiers were Quinton Thomas (4th, 800), Caden Frazier (3rd, 110 hurdles), Kazvion Evans (3rd, 300 hurdles), TyDerick Lewis (4th, 300 hurdles), Ja’Myrian Jackson (3rd, javelin; 4th, shot put) and Ashton Grigsby (4th, discus).
The foursome of Jakayden Jackson, Evans, Owens and Braylon Washington finished third in the 4X200 relay. The foursome of Treylin Gilbert, Evans, Lewis and Thomas was fourth in the 4X400.
