Funeral services for Jason K. Rodgers will be held Monday, Dec. 12, 2016 at 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Minden with the Rev. Gordon Rodgers and the Rev. Brian Mercer officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. Monday until service time at the church.

Jason was born April 19, 1970, in Minden and entered into rest Dec. 8, 2016 in Minden. He served his country in the United States Army 82nd Airborne during Desert Storm as a petroleum supply specialist.

Jason enjoyed hunting, fishing, knife making and leather working. His life revolved around his two sons, he was proud of their accomplishments and they were his pride and joy.

He was preceded in death by his father Bruce M. Rodgers, father-in-law John W. Robertson, aunt Peggy B. Rodgers and cousin Nathan C. Rodgers.

He is survived by his wife Melinda R. Rodgers, sons Christopher Thaddeus Rodgers, Cameron Nicholas Rodgers, mother Linda Rodgers Day, sister Rena Remedies and husband Mike, and mother-in-law Elaine Robertson all of Minden, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Zaldivar, Jorge Zaldivar, Lance Streetman, Damion Rodgers Jeff Rodgers and Don Smith.

Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Kay Avery and Robert Stoneking.
